The GO Unlimited Annual Holiday Party was once again a huge success. Every year, we bring together our support group members and incredible volunteers for an evening that reminds us why community matters so much.
This year’s celebration was packed with laughter, connection, and just the right amount of competitive White Elephant strategy.
We gathered at Los Cuates Restaurant, who graciously hosted our party and kept everyone fueled with amazing New Mexican food. Nothing says holiday spirit like great enchiladas, warm sopaipillas, and a room full of friends ready to outdo each other in gift swapping.
The White Elephant exchange did not disappoint. There were gifts that sparked fierce stealing battles, gifts that caused immediate regret, and a few legendary surprises that had the whole room laughing. From practical items to completely ridiculous finds, every present added to the fun. The real entertainment, of course, was watching people try to “strategically” protect their treasure while plotting their next move.
More importantly, the evening brought together the people who make GO Unlimited possible. Support group members who share their journeys throughout the year. Volunteers who show up time and time again to help at events, assessments, rides, and outings. It was a chance to relax, connect, and celebrate the friendships built through shared experiences in adaptive outdoor recreation.
The holiday party is always a reminder that what we are building goes beyond programs and projects. We are building community.
