While many arrive by car or bus to witness this breathtaking spectacle, our group of early morning enthusiasts takes a different approach\u2014on adaptive cycles!<\/p>\n<p>The adventure begins at around 6 AM, when the crisp morning air and the soft hues of sunrise signal the start of our journey. We gather with fellow riders at the trailhead of Albuquerque\u2019s beautiful Bosque Trail, a serene path that winds along the Rio Grande. For those of us using adaptive cycles, these trails are a perfect fit\u2014smooth, scenic, and filled with wildlife to spot along the way. The excitement builds with every pedal stroke as we anticipate the grandeur that awaits.<\/p>\n<p>As we approach Balloon Fiesta Park, the sky begins to fill with hot air balloons of every shape and color imaginable. The roar of the burners and the gentle rise of these massive balloons create an almost surreal atmosphere. But what really sets the Balloon Fiesta apart is the sense of community. Upon arriving at the park, we\u2019re always greeted with warmth and friendliness from the balloon enthusiasts. Whether it\u2019s fellow cyclists, balloon pilots, or visitors, everyone is curious and excited about our adaptive cycles. We often find ourselves swapping stories with people who have come from all over the world, each person eager to share in the magic of the Fiesta.<\/p>\n<p>Once inside the park, we are surrounded by balloons\u2014hundreds of them! The sight of these vibrant giants floating in the early morning light is truly beyond words. Immersed in the heart of the festival, we soak in the sights, sounds, and excitement all around us.
