It’s a work in progress but progress is being made!<\/span><\/p>\n

Nestled in a lush riparian canyon at roughly 7,700\u202fft in elevation, Coyote Creek State Park stretches across 462\u202facres of meandering creek, dense spruce and pine forests, and sun-dappled meadows. It sits just an hour southeast of Taos under the soaring Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The park is famous as New\u202fMexico\u2019s most densely stocked trout stream\u2014home to plentiful rainbow, brown, brook, and Rio\u202fGrande cutthroat trout\u2014and offers superb fly-fishing, hiking, birding, and wildlife viewing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Working alongside New\u202fMexico State Parks and a collective of regional architects, GO\u202fUnlimited is spearheading a transformation that embraces accessibility, natural beauty, and ecological integrity. We’re developing rustic but accessible camping<\/strong> and cabins<\/strong> tucked into the forest canopy, thoughtfully designed for universal access without disturbing the park\u2019s wild charm. These new structures will offer intimate retreats within a whisper of the creek, complete with low-impact materials blended seamlessly into the landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, we’re enhancing trails and creekside fishing access<\/strong>\u2014expanding platforms, improving pathways, and opening new angling spots. The areas where we’ve focused our efforts are now \u201cbrimming with trout,\u201d thanks to better access and stewardship.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expect abundant sightings of beavers, elk, mule deer, black bears, bobcats, and a symphony of birds\u2014including the endangered willow flycatcher. <\/span>After touring the trails, casting for trout, and inhaling the mountain air, visitors can retreat to our cabins or campsites to enjoy starlit skies and the soft murmurs of the creek.<\/p>\n

This project champions a vision of responsible, accessible outdoor recreation<\/strong>, linking local design talent with conservation values. Together, we\u2019re reviving Coyote Creek State Park as a visible treasure: alive with nature, brimming with trout, and open to all\u2014without losing its hidden\u2011gem essence.<\/p>\n
