On March\u202f18,\u202f2025, the New Mexico State Capitol\u2019s iconic Roundhouse was alive with celebration as the Outdoor Recreation Division (ORD) hosted Outdoor Recreation Day\u2014a vibrant showcase of the state\u2019s $3.2\u202fbillion outdoor recreation economy.\u202f <\/span>Dozens of businesses, nonprofit groups, trail managers, youth program participants, and grant recipients from the Outdoor Equity Fund and Trails+ Grant Program set up interactive exhibits to highlight equitable outdoor access and sustainable trail development. Attendees enjoyed hands\u2011on activities, met energetic youth entrepreneurs, and heard firsthand stories at a press conference about the profound impact these initiatives have on communities statewide.\u202f<\/span>EDD New Mexico<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Among the standout participants this year was GO\u202fUnlimited<\/strong>, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding outdoor experiences for people with disabilities. GO\u202fUnlimited\u2019s team seized the opportunity to network with like\u2011minded outdoor industry leaders and influential decision\u2011makers\u2014connecting with grant administrators, conservation groups, adaptive sports advocates, and business owners.<\/p>\n
