Held June\u202f22\u201325 at The Mayflower Hotel, Roll\u202fon\u202fCapitol\u202fHill brought together over 100 wheelchair users and advocates from 37 states, engaging in more than 150 meetings with members of Congress to advance critical disability rights and accessibility policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"201\" data-end=\"315\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-&#091;-0.2rem&#093; rounded px-px py-&#091;0.2rem&#093; transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">GO Unlimited partnered closely with our friends at United Spinal Association to amplify New Mexican voices on crucial issues like Medicaid protection, wheelchair repair access, transportation equity, telehealth expansion, and veterans\u2019 benefits. <\/span><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-&#091;-0.2rem&#093; rounded px-px py-&#091;0.2rem&#093; transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Through these meetings, New Mexicans with disabilities shared personal stories and policy recommendations directly with lawmakers, ensuring our perspectives are heard in the halls of power.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"431\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-&#091;-0.2rem&#093; rounded px-px py-&#091;0.2rem&#093; transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Roll on Capitol Hill is United Spinal\u2019s flagship policy and empowerment event\u2014now in its 13th year\u2014designed to elevate grassroots advocacy for the 5.5 million\u202f+ wheelchair users across America.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"relative -mx-px my-&#091;-0.2rem&#093; rounded px-px py-&#091;0.2rem&#093; transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Together, participants build skills in policy education and engagement, connect with national advocacy networks, and push for tangible change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"511\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-&#091;-0.2rem&#093; rounded px-px py-&#091;0.2rem&#093; transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">GO Unlimited\u2019s New Mexico delegation left D.C. energized and united, bringing back new connections and momentum to advance disability rights at home. This effort exemplifies how collaboration\u2014between local chapters like GO Unlimited and national organizations like United Spinal\u2014can \u201cmove the needle\u201d on policy and awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"814\">For advocates across New Mexico: stay tuned for updates, trainings, and resources from United Spinal and GO Unlimited.
