Twinkling lights, goofy sweaters, and hot salsa set the perfect scene for reconnecting with old friends\u2014and welcoming newcomers\u2014over shared stories, good food, and a bit of holiday mischief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"220\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">As many of you know, this support group in Albuquerque began with a focus on individuals with spinal cord injuries and has since grown to include anyone with significant mobility-altering disabilities. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, offering a relaxed space to exchange life-changing advice, celebrate personal achievements, and laugh together in genuine camaraderie<\/span> <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><span class=\"ms-1 inline-flex max-w-full items-center relative top-[-0.094rem] animate-[show_150ms_ease-in]\"><a class=\"flex h-4.5 overflow-hidden rounded-xl px-2 text-[9px] font-medium text-token-text-secondary! bg-[#F4F4F4]! dark:bg-[#303030]! transition-colors duration-150 ease-in-out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gounlimited.org\/programs\/community\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"relative start-0 bottom-0 flex h-full w-full items-center\"><span class=\"flex h-4 w-full items-center justify-between overflow-hidden\"><span class=\"max-w-full grow truncate overflow-hidden text-center\">gounlimited.org<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"222\" data-end=\"255\">The White Elephant Exchange- We kept the gift limit modest\u2014but the fun was huge! Creative and often hilarious gifts (who doesn\u2019t love quirky socks, naughty knickers, a wacky gadget, or that infamous fanny pack?) went back and forth as participants \u201cstole\u201d and swapped. Each round brought genuine joy and surprise\u2014plus a few friendly debates over who ended up with the best present.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"987\">Sadie\u2019s did another delicious menu: red and green enchilada, beans, chili, tacos, their famous chips and salsa. Between bites, members shared personal stories of success, failure, and funny oddities of life \u2014all reminders of the group\u2019s supportive power.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1243\">Our holiday gathering wasn\u2019t just a party\u2014it was proof of why we meet every month: to uplift, to encourage, and to celebrate each other\u2019s milestones. Events like this reinforce the deep sense of belonging at the heart of our community.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1248\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1473\">Thanks to everyone who joined\u2014our heartfelt gratitude to Sadie\u2019s for hosting, to gift exchangers, and to the coordinators who bring us together.
