GO Unlimited 2008 Schedule

January

January 19th, 2008 - Santa Fe Ski Resort, adaptive skiing, adaptive instructors available for beginners.

February

February 18th 2008- Santa Fe Ski Resort, adaptive skiing, adaptive instructors available for beginners.

March

March 25-26 Lake Trout fishing postponed due to ice.

March 30th, Dinner and Silent Auction, at El Pinto Restaurant 6pm, limited seating RSVP 480-2374.

April

April 10th, fishing Trip to Shady Lakes. Start at 10am and finish at 1pm.

May

May 31st, fishing trip to Bluewater Lake.

June

June 4th, fishing and barbeque trip to tingly beach in Albuquerque. Start at 5:30pm and finish at 8:30pm.

June 28th and 29th, Fishing and Water ski trip. Choice of 1 night stay or day trip to Ute lake, Logan, nm.

July

July 19th and 20th, fishing and Water ski trip. Choice of 1 night stay or day trip to Ute lake, Logan, nm.

August

August 16-17
Lodging at The Abiqui Inn.
One night stay on the night of the 16th, rooms are accessible.
Fishing Heron Lake on the 17th.

August 23-25
Clayton, NM.
Antelope Hunting.

Sunday August 31st
10am to 3:30pm.
Riding, barbecuing, and bring your swim wear if you want to swim.

September 5-7
Lodging at The Stone house Lodge.
One or Two night stay on the nights of the 5th and 6th, rooms are accessible.
Fishing Heron Lake on the 5th and 6th.

October 6th, Bull Elk hunt. Success!!!

September 28-29, Salmon fishing at Heron Lake.

August 23, 24, 25, and 26San Juan river Bi-Fly, fly fishing tournament. Our group of four participants is being lodged and guided by Soaring Eagle Lodge. These good folks know the river. Thanks !

August 19,2007- Global Opportunities Unlimited, dinner/silent auction/presentation
Sunday, August 19th @ 6PM.
The dinner will be held at El Pinto Restaurant (10500 4th St. N.W., Albuquerque)
Cost is 25 dollars per-person.
the silent auction will include artwork, hunting/fishing equipment, lodged/guided fishing trip.

Funding raised will insure the success of programs such as the first ever Go Unlimited team of disabled fisherman to participate in the San Juan River Bi-Fly, fly fishing tournament. The group of four participants will be lodged and guided by Soaring Eagle Lodge.

July 18thRafting trip.

June 11th- Shady Lakes fishing trip for junior Sportsters. This is a great group of kids! Check out the pictures! Fishing.

Albuquerque's Tricentennial Marathon to celebrate the city's 300th birthday! 3 hand cyclist , 26.3 miles of riding to gain support for more accessible and better outdoor opportunities for the Mobility Impaired persons.

 1st place         – Robert Digiulio

 2nd place        – Dustin Berg

 3rd place        – Bob Pierce


    

April 28th Lake Trout Trip Largest fish caught out of Heron Lake in 3 years! 

37.5 inches, 24.25 pounds, Caught by Seth From: Albuquerque, New Mexico.

           Thank You Seth For serving our country... and Congratulations on this catch!


April - May: Turkey hunting.

July: Tingley Beach fishing trip & Barbeque

August: A Heron Lake Salmon fishing trip for disabled veterans and children. As many as 3 participants per boat. This has been a very successful trip in the past!

September 3rd: New Mexico Marathon. Hand-cyclists riding together to advocate for more outdoor opportunities for the disabled. If you are a wheelchair user without a hand-cycle and would like to take action by participating in this event contact Global Opportunities Unlimited and we will try to supply you with a hand-cycle to use for free.

 September 23: Youth Antelope hunt, 2 youth under the age of 18. Thanks to GT Nunn and Frontier Outfitters for acquiring tags and guiding our hunt. Funding will be used to purchase food and hunting equipment for the children to keep after this hunt.

 September-December: For the fall and winter months we are trying to acquire more hunting tags and hunting equipment. As soon as we receive funding and purchase tags we will post new hunts on the website and begin selecting participants.
